Before Black Swan ever left the lab, we built a whole flock of early prototypes that lived entirely indoors. They were handmade, off‑the‑shelf, wired‑together experiments powered by a baby version of our AI. We knew they could detect RF — but we had no idea how well they could separate signals that were practically sitting on top of each other. The resolution shocked even us.
Fun moment: During one test, a mysterious red dot kept appearing on the left side of our RF view. It wasn’t in the script, wasn’t part of the setup, and definitely wasn’t supposed to exist. After a quick investigation, we found the culprit: a machine in the background quietly leaking power through its cable… even though it was turned off.
That’s when we realized the truth: our RF camera sees everything — even the things you didn’t know were emitting.
Proto 1 — Black Swan
Black Swan wasn’t the first prototype we built in our own lab — but it was the first one that truly counted. It marked our first official milestone because it was the first system we dared to take outside controlled conditions and into an unknown environment. And in February 2026, at the Florida Venture Forum in Miami, it proved itself: Black Swan successfully captured RF signals in a real‑world setting, surrounded by hundreds of devices, networks, and interference sources.
Fun moment: At the Loews Coral Gables Hotel, our display kept showing “ghost signals” from the nightstand telephone — multiple emissions, weird angles, total mystery. Turns out… the “phone” was actually the room’s Wi‑Fi modem in disguise. Black Swan’s first field discovery: unmasking a hotel’s undercover network hardware.
ICX at the Sevilla Dual‑Use Technologies Forum 2026
This year we presented ICX at the X International Forum on Dual‑Use Technologies 2026 in Sevilla — one of Europe’s key gatherings for defence, dual‑use innovation, and European Defence Fund–aligned technologies. The event brought together defence industry leaders, SMEs, research centres, primes, and public institutions across Europe, with a strong focus on EDF programmes and emerging dual‑use capabilities.
Presenting ICX to a defence and military‑focused audience was a milestone: it allowed us to demonstrate our RF‑native sensing technology directly to stakeholders who operate in real operational environments. The discussions, B2B meetings, and pitch sessions gave us a much clearer understanding of the European defence ecosystem — from funding pathways to consortium formation and the priorities of primes and integrators.
Florida Venture Forum — ICX Stage Presentation
ICX was selected as one of the companies to present on stage at the Florida Venture Capital Conference 2026 at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel — a major milestone for us. When you put an engineer under the spotlight with genuinely novel tech, the atmosphere changes instantly: sparks fly, curiosity spikes, and suddenly the room is leaning forward.
Our live demo and story lit up the audience — defence, dual‑use, deep‑tech investors — all catching the energy of what happens when raw engineering meets a real stage. It was one of those moments where the tech speaks for itself, and everyone feels it.
